Lincoln, MA

On this particular project S.J. OVERSTREET CONSTRUCTION CO, INC. (SJO) tore down a 1950’s ranch style home in order to build a new larger colonial style residence to fit the needs of the clients expanding family. An interesting challenge that was tackled during this project is that (SJO) demolished the original structure and was able to salvage the existing foundation. Throughout all the phases of demolition, site work and adding of expanded foundations (SJO) was able to strategically operate so that the integrity and condition of the existing foundation was never jeopardized. Although it doesn’t sound like a huge savings once the entire structure above is removed. It allowed the client to not only save on the cost of foundation demolition and concrete removal, but also on excavation and foundation work along with the added savings of not needing to install new utilities such as water and sewer services.
