When S.J. OVERSTREET CONSTRUCTION CO, INC. uncovered some significant structural problems in this balloon framed 1880’s colonial. It became apparent it would be quicker and cleaner to demolish the affected areas down to the foundation. Then start from scratch and properly re-build, insulate and finish off the space. Along with that task S.J.O also completely renovated the other areas of the home from top to bottom. With new heating/ cooling equipment, plumbing, electrical, insulation, finishes, flooring etc.

On this late 1890’s colonial home S.J. OVERSTREET CONSTRUCTION CO, INC. (SJO) was hired to add a new kitchen, breakfast nook and master suite to the backside of the existing home by expanding foundations and also adding a second story. While adding on to the home (SJO) also renovated the existing areas with structural repairs, new siding, heating and cooling equipment, electrical, paint, flooring, trim etc. With this home consisting of various additions that were constructed throughout the years, significant areas of ledge, and extensive rot and structural issues this project made for some tough challenges. Although, adversity in this structure was present (SJO) pushed through successfully plus efficiently and restored this historic home back to a beautiful condition.
